Why Eating a Big Mac is Cheaper than Eating a Salad

No further explanation necessary.

Perhaps some additional factors can help. The major components of a Big Mac can also be frozen, mass produced, and transported at a leisurely pace, without much worry of spoilage. On the other hand, most components of a salad are terrible if frozen, and need to be flown. And if you add on the economies of scale for Big Macs that are enjoyed by McDonald's for tasty meat patties, as opposed to the handful of salads that hippies around the country eat, then you explain even more.

But that's silly. I like simplifying things by using partial truths and selective facts :-)

For example, I've been trying to fix this women's suffrage problem we've had in the U.S., based on the President of Harvard's research that shows that women are genetically inferior at math. Similarly, I'm trying to make my votes count more, using the findings of the Bell Curve that prove that American blacks are genetically less intelligent than whites, who in turn are genetically less intelligent than non-off-the-boat Asians.

Of course I don't vote, so it's sort of silly, isn't it?

Perhaps some additional factors...
True, those play a role as well. But let's put it this way, the subsidies don't help.

Incidentally, did you ever see that segment of The Man Show, where they were off recruiting women to sign a petition to end women's suffrage? The awesome part was the women were lining up to sign.

"In this modern day and age, isn't it a shame that women still have suffrage? Sign this petition to help stop the suffrage. End women's suffrage now."
