Triathlon

Congratulations to Mrs. Westy today. Yesterday she completed her first triathlon by placing 25th in her class (out of over 125)!
We started the day early by arriving down at the Accenture Chicago Triathlon by 5:30 and she prepared her spot in the transition area. Her wave began at 7:01 and she was off. Approximately an hour and a half later, she finished the sprint distance. You can view a video of her crossing the finish line here.
It was a great day to be out and enjoying a premier event in a great city. We had fun. Again, congratulations, you did well!

if you thought it was fun, there is a great sprint triathlon in quincy, il called the tri-jesus. dana and i have done it. it is usually mid-june. the bike is crazy hilly.

in 2004 we ran into dan and erica herron and brian and allison smith there. lots of fun. . . plus it's called the tri-jesus. who can beat that?
